CANCER SUCKS! What now?

In seconds, using technology, we can search the web for answers. Using technology we can go on Facebook and find each other, IN SECONDS. Why can't we affect cancer treatment quickly? The answer is, together, WE CAN!

When I started the Facebook group –'I bet I can find 1,000,000 people who hate cancer' I never dreamed that it would explode with over 1.8 million people and climbing.

Your stories, your experiences, your family and friends are what bring this site to life and keep our precious loved ones stories alive. Sharing our stories and supporting one another is important and meaningful but now we need to do more...we need to help find answers and to do that we need research dollars.

I approached Princess Margaret Hospital - one of the top 5 Cancer Research Centres in the WORLD and asked how we could make a difference in cancer treatment RIGHT NOW!

My search led to Dr. David Jaffray who has taken a very different approach to cancer treatment; he believes that the development of cutting edge technology stands to have the biggest impact on future cancer interventions. Even the smallest technological advances will culminate into big change, affecting how surgery and radiation treatment are performed and the creation of a new breed of researchers who exploit technology to find answers.

Establishing a new Institute is Dr. Jaffray's plan to bring the power of technology to the delivery of high performance, effective cancer interventions.
